Jake Burger, Triple-A Charlotte (White Sox)—The 25-year-old third baseman missed two seasons after rupturing his Achilles twice and bruising his heel, then spent the 2020 season between a semi-pro circuit, the alternate training site and instructional league. Back playing in the minor leagues for the first time since 2017, Burger has fared well at Charlotte. He hit his seventh home run, a three-run shot, and went 2-for-5 with four RBIs in a win over Jacksonville. Burger is hitting .264/.306/.520 with 24 RBIs. 

Cooper Criswell, Double-A Rocket City (Angels)—Criswell frustrated Biloxi hitters all night long, striking out 14 and walking none in 6.2 scoreless innings of three-hit ball. The 24-year-old righthander is 3-3, 3.55 with 52 strikeouts and just four walks in 38 innings.

Wander Franco, Triple-A Durham (Rays)—The No. 1 prospect in baseball just keeps on hitting. Franco went 2-for-4 with two triples and an RBI to extend his hitting streak to 13 games, all in the month of June. Franco, who is 22-for-52 (.423) this month, is hitting .326/.384/.618 with 23 extra-base hits and 32 RBIs in 35 games for Durham.

Andres Gimenez, Triple-A Columbus (Indians)—Gimenez turned in his second straight two-hit game in a loss to Toledo. The 22-year-old shortstop went 2-for-5 with a single and a home run, a solo shot. Gimenez has homered in three consecutive games, with five RBIs during that span.

Joe Gray Jr., Low-A Carolina (Brewers)—The 2018 second-rounder struggled in his first two pro seasons in 2018 and 2019, but is off to an excellent start this season. He collected two more hits, including his sixth triple, in a loss to Fayetteville. The 21-year-old outfielder is hitting .304/.401/.688 with 10 home runs and 42 RBIs in 36 games.

Josh Jung, Double-A Frisco (Rangers)—Jung, who missed the first month and a half of the season after having surgery on a stress fracture in his foot, went 3-for-5 with a three-run homer in a win over Corpus Christi. Jung singled twice and drove in four on the day.

Ronny Mauricio, High-A Brooklyn (Mets)—The 20-year-old shortstop hit his seventh home run, a two-run shot, in a loss to Wilmington. Mauricio is hitting .234/.274/.461 with 43 strikeouts and seven walks in 32 games.

Nate Pearson, Triple-A Buffalo (Blue Jays)—Pearson made his longest start since returning from a strained groin suffered in spring training. The hard-throwing 24-year-old righthander pitched six innings, allowing two runs on two hits and two walks while striking out three. He has 36 strikeouts and 11 walks in 24.2 innings over six appearances (five starts), with a 1-3, 4.74 mark.

Adley Rutschman, Double-A Bowie (Orioles)—The No. 2 prospect in baseball turned in his fifth multi-hit game of June, collecting two singles in three at-bats and walking once in a win over Akron. Rutschman is now hitting .295/.431/.561 with 10 home runs and 27 RBIs.

Jared Shuster, High-A Rome (Braves)—The 2020 first-rounder cruised in his four innings of work against Bowling Green, striking out six, walking one and allowing one hit. Shuster is 1-0, 3.00 with 21 strikeouts and four walks in 15 innings.

Spencer Torkelson and Riley Greene, Double-A Erie (Tigers)—The Tigers' top hitting prospects combined for four hits in eight at-bats in a loss to Altoona. Torkelson, the 2020 No. 1 overall pick, singled twice and drove in two in his second game since being promoted from High-A after putting up a 1.009 OPS in 31 games with West Michigan. Greene, who singled twice and scored once, has struggled in June after an impressive opening month, with nine hits in 44 at-bats.

Jordan Walker, Low-A Palm Beach (Cardinals)—Walker is having an impressive start to his pro career and added two more hits, including a two-run home run, in a doubleheader against Daytona. The 19-year-old third baseman is hitting .328/.447/.590 with three home runs, 11 RBIs and 11 walks in 17 games.

Bobby Witt Jr., Double-A Northwest Arkansas (Royals)—Witt has shown some swing and miss this season, but he's also frequently displayed his plus power. He showed off the 60-grade tool again in a win over San Antonio, crushing his 11th homer and finishing a single shy of the cycle. Witt is hitting .257/.335/.543 with 19 RBIs, 16 walks and 42 strikeouts.
